SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

  • Young Scientist School, September 24 to 27, 2015

  • Experimental and Theoretical corners

We invite all DOM School participants to take part in the experimental and the theoretical
    corner sessions.

These sessions will be “pi“ sessions – popular and interactive. Present your daily science
and techniques to your fellow participants.

Disorder and order can have important influence on the properties of a material. There are
many materials out there waiting to be explored and many methods and techniques have
been developed so far. Bring along your samples, explain measurement and analysis
techniques, show your data analysis software, theory and modelling…. anything to watch,
    touch or discuss is welcome!

The best contributions will be awarded the attractive “Experimental and Theoretical Corner
Prizes” generously supported by Volkswagen foundation.

In order to facilitate the organization of this session, please let us know in advance what you
are going to display and what will need to present your exhibit (e.g. tables, sockets, …). Just
    e-mail us: dom2015@ysu.am

  • International Symposium, September 28 to 30, 2015
  • Best Poster Awards

We invite all DOM Symposium participants to take part in the best poster competition.

The best posters will be awarded the attractive “DOMpost Prizes” generously supported by
    Volkswagen foundation.

    DOMart

We invite all DOM School participants to take part in our DOMart competition. Be creative
and make your own piece of art!

Science is often a lot data, numbers, graphs and tables. And if you are honest, you wouldn’t
be too enthusiastic about someone’s work if he/she’d show you just a bunch of numbers,
graphs and tables. Images and pictures are often much more eye-catching and sometimes
they can even be surprisingly beautiful and aesthetic making it a piece of art.

The best contributions will be awarded the “DOMart Prize” supported by SmarAct GmbH,
    Oldenburg, Germany
